Attracting and holding a candidate’s affections in this age of social media hedonism can be a challenging task for even the most beguiling recruiters. During this session we will explore how to leverage best in class websites and employ effective techniques for reaching the right candidates and keeping their attention. Learn how social media and mobile recruiting tools can make your jobs and your company alluring to the right candidates. This workshop will cover:
  • Harnessing the latest trends in social media in your recruitment strategy
  • Making the latest changes at Google, Twitter, Facebook and other sites work for you
  • Leveraging mobile recruiting tools
  • Cloud recruiting best practices
  • Useful advice for contracting and effectively communicating with candidates
  • Executive Director of Global Training
    AIRS – An ADP Company

    9:00am
Social media has provided recruiters a new world of possibilities for engaging and connecting with top talent. But without the right plan in place, launching a social media recruitment initiative through Twitter, LinkedIn or Facebook accounts or blogs can end up simply as another means to broadcast open positions, instead of helping you cultivate the kind of personal interaction that will help you get real results. This Workshop is designed for HR &/or Recruitment Managers and professionals, who are responsible for the recruitment and sourcing functions in their organizations. During this interactive session you will gain tangible “How To’s” which include:
  • Build an effective business case for your leadership
  • Select the right Social Platforms to meet your goals
  • Create relevant content with tips, trick and techniques
  • Launch, Monitor and Evolve
  • Vice President & Talent Strategist
    NAS Recruitment Innovation

    12:00pm
    Networking Luncheon for Workshop Attendees
    1:00pm
Candidates who have a bad experience with your organization are 7 times more likely to tell their friends about it than those who had a good experience. Candidates are sharing these poor experiences today in significant numbers on sites like Glassdoor, Vault and Twitter. There’s nowhere to hide. A poor candidate experience results in reduced access to top talent, reduced efficiency, increased costs and lowered quality (yes, this is impacting your bottom-line). Improving a candidate’s interactions with the company they seek employment is essential to improving your pipeline of talent and overall employer brand. In this interactive workshop, attendees will learn to:
  • Define candidate experience
  • Design Your Candidate Journey and Moments of Truth
  • Engage Your Employees
  • Define the Power of Social
  • Measure Candidate Experience
  • Co-founder
    Ongig

    1:00pm
Facebook and Google+ are the two largest social networks online with more than 1.5B combined members worldwide yet they lie vastly untapped from a candidate sourcing perspective. This advanced sourcing workshop will show you how to automatically opt-in and activate Facebook Graph Search as well as conduct deep-dive searches into Facebook's 1B member base. You'll also learn how to search Google+'s 500M member profiles using internal search, external tools and Google X-Ray techniques.

LinkedIn has 238M members and is a great source for candidates, but the population on Facebook and Google+ is SEVEN times larger and should not be ignored by any recruiter or sourcer who wants to leave no stone unturned and uncover hard-to-find talent.

Attendees will learn how to source from the two largest social networks online – Facebook and Google+. This is an advanced sourcing workshop that will require some knowledge of x-ray sourcing, boolean strings and/or URL hacking.

Getting the attention and attracting top talent in today’s job market is more challenging than it’s ever been. Job seekers, in our digital world, easily, conduct 360 analyses of potential employers before making any decisions about engaging with one. While compensation and benefits still carry weight, a company’s reputation and brand have become crucially important when someone is making a decision about joining an organization. As job seekers go online to learn about an employer’s brand, social media channels take center stage in conveying brand authenticity. By showcasing the real employee experience you offer your candidates an inside glimpse, a personal and transparent connection to your employees, as well as, a sense of what its really like to work for your company.

EA has shifted the focus away from marketing products, and directed it instead to the uniqueness of our culture and the fun and diverse view point to daily life as an EA employee. Join us for this session as Jenn Roumian, Global Talent Acquisition – Brand Manager for EA shares lessons learned and best practices at EA where Global Talent Acquisition channels are called InsideEA. EA uses all talent channels to showcase this inside look and their audiences, potential talent, have grown immensely because of it.

Games are the most effective way to increase the relevance of employer brands to recruitment audiences. According to TechCrunch, half of Facebook users play social games. That’s 600 million game players! A Pop-Cap survey reveals that 52% of mobile phone uses play games. When we look at just smartphone owners the percentage is 83% The point? The people you want to recruit aren’t looking at your careers site - they are playing a game. Gamification - how does it work? Create a game that features your brand - you have an engaged audience that is not just learning about your brand and your careers. They are having fun while they do it. David will discuss games including “My Marriott Hotel” - a Facebook game the actively engaged recruits for Marriott and “Xplor” - an immersive travel game for Marriott. David will share live demos of games and how they deliver brand experiences - and more importantly, how they can deliver candidates.

The generation that came of age around the turn of the century has some unique characteristics, including an unprecedented comfort level with digital media communications. Members of “Generation Y” tend to use social media and mobile technology almost exclusively to communicate. Approximately 73% of employers have successfully hired candidates using social media tools, and tech-savvy applicants and hiring companies are finding creative ways to attract notice through platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.

Recruiters who are seeking the best and brightest Millennials are rethinking the way they reach out to the group. One important way to target upcoming hires is to create an employment brand – a company persona that speaks the same language and communicates via the same venues. That’s why many forward-thinking companies are integrating social and mobile media platforms directly into their sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding processes. This is especially crucial for businesses in fast growth mode and those in the high tech sector.

    3 things attendees will learn:

  • Learn how to create an employment brand that will help leverage social media and mobile technology in the hiring process
  • Explore technologies available to connect Millennials with recruiters and potential employers.
  • How social media is the future in the hiring industry for both job seekers and employers
