Joseph J. O’Connor currently serves as CEO, ViziRecruiter, LLC, Inc., based in Troy, Michigan. The patented Vizi SaaS product has set a new standard in the talent attraction space by automatically transforming text-based job descriptions into personalized, engaging branded experiences.
Formerly he was CEO of KALPA Systems which develops and manages large scale customized marketing and management information systems.
O’Connor was founder and CEO of AFFINA Corporation, which focused on market research services and evolved as a pioneer in the design and development of marketing and management information systems to support proactive customer relationship management. The company was sold in 1998.
Previously he served as CEO of Consolidated Bakeries Corporation and was a founding officer of the Colombo Frozen Yogurt Company. He began his professional career in government service, where he served for four years as Director of operations of the Boston Bicentennial in the administration of Mayor Kevin H. White.
He is the author of a children’s book, “Where Did Daddy’s Hair Go?” published by Random House.
O’Connor has served on the board of numerous not for profit organizations such as the Detroit Convention and Visitors Bureau, The University of Georgia Graduate Marketing Research Advisory Board, the Detroit Chamber of Commerce, The South Boston Neighborhood House, Michigan State Officers Compensation Commission and currently, Racquet Up Detroit. He is an alumnus of the University of Massachusetts. Joe resides in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan with his wife of 34 years, Susan and their two children.
